Eunice J. Porter of Jacksonville Beach passed away October 22, 2010. She was born in Plant City, FL, May 9, 1917. She lived in Palm Valley for over 50 years before moving to Jacksonville Beach. She retired from John H. Swisher/King Edward Cigars after 40+ years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Edwin T. Porter, Jr. Survived by step-daughters, Ethel Nicols (Robert), Kathleen Mier (Gilbert), Gaile Ruffo (Rocco), Ruby (Ray) Arrington and Betty Jane Gaskins (nieces), 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
