Douglas F. Schauer, 73, of Harbor Chase, passed away September 11, 2020. He was born in Port Washington, NY on January 19, 1947. Douglas Schauer graduated from Paul D. Schreiber High School and received a BS in History/BS Business from Florida Southern College/Purdue University. He married Susan E. Wells on April 6, 1989. Douglas was a VP in Marketing/Sales for BCBS, HCA and Eye America. He was a member of Theta Chi fraternity, Jaycees of Atlanta and had a passion for cycling, fishing, golf, and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife Susan; children, Chris Schauer, Erin Stinson, Jason Schauer; step-daughters, Gretchen Wells and Robin Getsee; grandkids, Thomas & Lily Stinson, Jacob Schauer, Dylan Schauer, Precocia Wells, Hannah & Andrew Getsee; mother, Sally Schauer; and siblings, Sue Cusa, Nancy Angelos, Kathy Guarino, Patti Bick, Bruce Schauer and Kurt Schauer.
