Anne F Fitch

Anne was born in Oak Park IL and attended Ascension Catholic School, Oak Park River Forest High School, and University of Illinois Chicago where she earned a BA in Business Admin / Mktg. She joined the Air Force in 1984 and proudly served until she retired in 2008 as a Lt Colonel. During her Air Force career she earned a Masters Degree in Restaurant Hotel and Institutional Mgmt from Purdue University. Anne cherished her family and friends, along with her much loved pets. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and collecting beautiful things.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Barbara Fitch and her dear nephew Thomas McNamara. She is survived by her sisters Mary Schaal (Ray) of Jacksonville Beach FL, Janet McNamara (Thomas) of Forest Park IL, her brother Richard Fitch (Eileen) of Lisle IL, nieces Shannon Fitch, Megan Fitch, and nephews Timothy McNamara and Kevin McNamara. Anne’s second family was the people she worked, lived and served with in the Air Force, who gave her joy and support throughout and after her military career. Many thanks to her caregivers during her illness, especially her sister Mary who was constantly by her side for the past four years and also to the people at McGraw Center for Caring during her final weeks.
