She was originally from Norfolk, VA. She is survived by her two daughters, Anita Lightner, Interlachen, FL and Auriela Beckwith, Jacksonville, FL and by her twin sister, Marion Edwards of Saint Johns, FL. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Before her retirement, she worked for the US Federal Government as a computer programmer for over 40 years. In addition, Allie has always been an active volunteer in her community.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, Feb. 22nd at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, Feb. 21st at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
