Howard was born April 9, 1935 in Bemis, TN. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force where he served as an aircraft mechanic. He was a true craftsman building homes throughout the Jackson area. He was also skilled in woodworking, painting and poetry. Howard was an avid hunter and he and Rosa Lee loved to travel.
Howard spent his life in the Bemis community where he could be found in recent years, rocking on his front porch. He was a long time member of First Baptist Bemis where he previously served as a Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed sharing his thoughts and having in depth conversations on a variety of topics. He was a man of few words, but he made those words count.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we know he was ready to be reunited with his lovely Rosa.
Howard was preceded in death by loving wife, Rosa Lee Mitchell Warren and Parents Arle and Louise Warren.
Howard is survived by his sister, Wonnell Meals; brother, Melvin "Pete" Warren (Harriett Jane); sister, Pat Phillips and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum to be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1PM.
Honorary pallbearers are Philip Meals, Warren Warren, Troy Powers, Teddy Sanders, Paul Smith and Neal Wright
