Wanda Jean Harris Lovelace, age 80 of Medon, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012. She was born October 18, 1931 to the late John Durward and Versie Mae Deming Harris in Chester County, TN. She attended Chester County High School and West Tennessee Business College. She retired from Bemis Cotton Mill Office/Tennessee Textiles after 29 years of service. Worked for US Postal Service for fourteen years.
She was an active member of Malesus United Methodist Church, UMW and Lamplighters Sunday School School Class. She loved to crochet, cross stitch, needle point and especially baking. She was a woman of hope and loved all of her family especially all of her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Alvin Dewayne and John Brent.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Howell Lovelace; daughters, Janice Hutcherson (Richard), Sally Coley (Brian); five grandchildren, Brad Replogle (Chasety), Amanda Replogle, Drew Coley, Sarah Coley, Ava Coley; two great-grandchildren, Brennan Replogle and Maley Replogle; three sisters, Virginia Williams (Jimmy) of South Carolina, Willa Dean McKnight (Tommy) of Memphis, TN; two brothers, John Durward, Jr. (Mary) of Henderson, TN, Deming Harris (Loretta) of Texas.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at George A. Smith and Sons, South Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at Malesus United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery to follow service. Pallbearers will be Burton Williams, Doug McKnight, David Garland, Paul Meals, Don Pickens and Randall Tosh. Junior Pallbearers Brennan Replogle and Drew Coley, grandsons.
