William Freeland Scott, age 66, of Jackson, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Freeland was born on January 3, 1956 in Jackson to the late Lon A. Scott and Betty Roland Darden. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed Coon hunting, fishing, and hunting in general.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Hardin Scott of Jackson; his son, Will Scott; and his granddaughter, Jessie May Scott. He is also survived by his faithful companion, a Red Bone Coon Hound named Sassy.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Brent Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Corner Cemetery.
