She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roger, children: Joseph (Charrody) and Amy (Sean ); grandchildren: Jacob, Caitlin, Amelia, Josie, Dylan and Jackson; sister Della , brothers Tommy and Chris ; as well as relatives and friends.
Sandy was born August 27, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. She looked up to her father. She sought his advice when raising her own children.
A sensitive, creative free spirit, Sandy embraced the peace of nature and animals.
If you were a part of her inner circle you got to see the light she radiated. She loved with all of her soul. Sandy was thoughtful when taking care of her family. She was generous even when she had nothing else to give. If you needed a safe place to land when times were tough you could always count on her to be there with support and love.
Sandy always let her children know how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. She loved her grandkids. She enjoyed hearing about their adventures.
When you were in a car with Sandy she would say I know a shortcut, but in fact it would take longer than the original path you were on. Maybe she did that to spend a little more time with the ones she loved.
She lived a quieter life in her later years at her house on the hill with her husband. She would sit on the porch enjoying the view. If she was not on the porch she was in her garden.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Jr. and her parents: Sammy and Joyce.
A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 22,2022 at 1:00 pm at George A.Smith and Sons (South Location) 1544 S Highland Ave, Jackson, TN. 38301

“She is a wild child, with a gypsy soul that dances with the stars. She has a free spirit, a reckless mind and a rebel heart that isn’t meant to be tamed. Love her wild and you will never lose her.”
