Ruby Louise Maness Smith

Ruby Louise Smith was born on March 25th, 1931 in Henderson County, Tennessee. She was the eldest child of Raymond Lawrence Maness and Melinda Ilene "Ila" Gibson.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Albert "Al" Smith, her son, Anthony Ray "Tony" Brittain, her daughter Ruby Lydell Brittain, her brother, Raymond M. "Buddy" Maness, her sister, Katie Sue Maness and her niece Susan Marie Shackelford.

She is survived by her twin daughters Mona Kay Brittain Suggs and Lona Gay Brittain Murdaugh and her husband Mark. Also surviving is her brother Jack B. Maness and his wife Judy and her younger sister and immediate caretaker, Ira Gayle Phillips and her husband Tommy. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Nathan Brittain, Becca Curland, Jason Tucker, Casey Hairell, Matthew Anthony, Jacob Wray, Tyler Birl and Brooke Jernigan and twenty great grandchildren along with four nieces, four nephews, five great nieces and nine great nephews.

She will be greatly missed as the beloved matriarch of our family. She was 89 years young. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 8th.
