Bob was born on June 28, 1941 in Carouthersville, MO to the late Earl and Callie Bankston. He grew up and attended schools in Macon, GA. He was retired as the previous owner of Madison Tire Company. He was a Past President of Jackson Jaycees and a member of the Jackson Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Humphrey Bankston of Jackson; daughter, Stephanie Bankston Reeves (Mark); Son, Bert Bankston (Candace); one grandchild who was his pride and joy, Farrar Grace Bankston; brothers, Kevin Bankston (Ginger) and David Bankston (Donna) both of Jackson; a niece, Mylee Bankston and nephew, Payton Bankston.
Funeral services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 4, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
