Edwina Robley went to be with her Lord on December 2, 2012, in Dallas, Texas, following a short illness. She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Graham, Jill Phoenix (Ken), Leigh Stevison, and Cheryl Johnson.
Surviving grandchildren are Matt and Kristen Phoenix, Marc, Morgan, and Jaclyn Stevison, and Kelly and Will Johnson.
Also surviving Edwina are three brothers, Gerald K. Mays (Mary Louise), Tillman Mays (Belinda), and Bill Mays (Margie), and one sister Carolyn Mewborn (Ronnie), all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neely H. Robley and a son Jeffrey Robley; her parents Mary Naylor Mays and A. T. Mays; a sister Sandra Godson; and a brother Jim Mays, all of Jackson.
Edwina was born on May 25, 1928, in Jackson, Tennessee where she lived most of her life. An accomplished homemaker, she and her husband farmed in the Denmark Community.
Edwina was a long-time member of Ararat Baptist Church in the Huntersville community. A caring and giving Christian lady, she enjoyed having many wonderful friends and serving the Lord in her church. She always had a sense of humor and never lost that gift.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, from 6-8 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Funeral services will be at the South Chapel on Thursday, December, 6 at 3:00 p.m., followed by burial at Ebenezer Cemetery on the Medon-Malesus Road in Madison County. Funeral officiants will be Bro. J. V. Davis and Bro. Tillman Mays.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ararat Baptist Church, 3608 Brownsville Hwy, Jackson, TN 38301.
Edwina will be greatly missed by her large family, friends, and acquaintances; and she will be at rest with Jesus and her family in Heaven.
