Mary Elizabeth Watson

She was born on December 22, 1945 in Portland to the late James and Ella Gregory Wright. She was a longtime Catering Director at Union University. Mary loved to watch basketball and was a proud fan of the Golden State Warriors. She instilled the love of sports in her two sons. Mary was also a big fan of Tom Jones and Elvis Presley.

She will be remembered by her family for her tenacious spirit, her laughter, and her ability to always tell it like it is.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Jeff Watson (Kim) of Jackson and Michael Watson of Medina; grandchildren, Taylor Watson, Sydney Watson, Jacob Watson, Sean Watson, Matthew Watson, and Zach Watson; three great grandchildren, Myles James, Elliot Watson, and Evren Watson; her brothers, Jimmy Wright (Faye), Troy Tomlinson (Sylvia), and Tim Tomlinson (Vanessa); and her special friend, Geneva Goguen.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at a visitation to be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Friends and family are cordially invited.
