Marie White

Funeral services for Marie White, age 80 of Mercer, TN will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel, with Bro. Tim Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery.

Marie was born on August 10, 1930 to the late Aggie and Maggie Sue Lewis. She passed away on December 1, 2010.

Marie was retired and worked for the Solid Waste Center. She was known among family and friends as a devoted Christian mother, grandmother, cook and friend. Marie had a green thumb and enjoyed cooking for her community. Her greatest happiness came from bringing joy to others.

She is survived by her husband, Jessie White; three daughters, Kathy Seaton (Tommy), Susie Hardee (Gary) and Lisa Daniel (Jeff); granddaughters, Leslie Matthews (Jimmy), Shannon Seaton and Ashley Daniel; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jackson Matthews; a sister, Louise Nerren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the South Chapel.
