Marie Evelyn Wallace

Mrs. Wallace was born in Ozark, Illinois on July 31, 1925 to the late Garrie Everett and Gladys Cox Ross. She graduated from Carterville High School in Carterville Illinois class of 1942 and went on to become a coordinator in the agency department at American General Life and Accident Insurance Company (now A.I.G). Mrs. Wallace was married on June 18, 1943 to the late Glenn C. Wallace.

Marie was an active member of First Church Pentecostal in Nashville, TN for 45 years where she served many roles in teaching, administration, and took an active role in choir and orchestra. She enjoyed many hobbies including, needlework, reading, ceramics, cooking, and traveling.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, parents, Garrie Everett and Gladys Elizabeth Ross, brother, Allen Ross, sister, Carmen Harper and niece, Suzanne Gamster.

She is survived by niece, Rita Barnett, nephew, Paul Harper(Melinda Harper), great nieces, Audrey Harper and Kathy Holmes, great nephew, Grant Gamster(Lindsay Gamster), and goddaughter, Kim Graves(Robbie Graves).

The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. There will be a public committal service at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
