We were sorry to learn about your Linda’s passing last year. We regret that we are not able to attend her memorial service tomorrow. She was a lovely lady and very giving and talented. We know you have missed her. She was a sweet neighbor when we lived on Russell Road in Jackson. May our Lord bless you with wonderful memories.

Linda was such a lovely lady, I found it so hard to hear that she had passed away,she was a sweetheart,heaven received another angel.

One thing that I will always remember about her is that she always knew how to have fun. She was always a loving Grandmother and cared a lot about me and my younger brother. This is my first family loss in my life and now I know how it feels to lose somebody. To those who have lost someone before, I know how you feel.

I am devastated to hear of my cousin Linda's passing.  Too many years of not seeing each other, but memories flood back of fun with my cousins Linda and Jeanie  and Larry.   Especially at Mammie and Dad's house in Nashville.  Prayers for the family!  Love to you all.

i am so saddened to hear of Linda’s  passing . we were friends a very long time . we had wonderful  times together from high school to visits in Miami where i lived to visits in Jackson where my Grandparents and aunt and uncle lived . we had a girls trip to our lake house in wisconsin only a few years ago . i so expected to have more of our girl getaways . Linda had such an impish sense of humor . i remember how worried she was when visiting up here as Sydney was expecting puppies . her love for her family seemed all encompassing . gosh i will remember so many wonderful memories. i cannot imagine your pain/ Brooks , Kathy, Doug and family. i am so so sorry for your loss . We met Linda and Brook at the many Professional Imaging trade shows.  Linda always had a positive glow and spirit.  We always enjoyed our visits together.  We will miss her beautiful smile and talks we shared. We know she is one of god’s treasured angels and she is sending us her blessings. Our deepest condolences to Brook and family.

Brooks—My heart is so heavy upon hearing the news of Linda’s passing. So many memories flood my mind of her over the past 30 years…and most all of them involve her mischievous twinkle in her eye accompanied by an infectious laugh. My most favorite memory was when I got stranded at your house in Feb ‘94 during the ice storm. We all woke up to no electricity, but Linda decided we could bundle together and eat cereal in the bed! The world was still and frozen outside your windows that morning, but the jokes and laughter warmed us all! I loved Linda and will miss her creativity, kindness, and hospitality. She was a true woman of God and I’m so glad He crossed our paths. Praying for  you Brooks, Kathy, Doug, Jenny, Jack and Will. 

Remembering Linda as a very kind, smart, creative, loving, fun, hardworking and giving person.  She will be greatly missed.  My family was blessed to see her at my husband's visitation in May.  Our hearts go out to all who love her, and prayer is being sent for their comfort.

Linda was a true and loyal friend.  She could be counted on to follow through with any commitment, and was a generous hostess...even inviting a few of us to a slumber party when we were attending a reunion.  She had a sense of humor that some times could seem  like a bit of an ambush, but we all laughed and loved her for that.

She and I grew up on Westmoreland, and it was wonderful to have her nearby.  We girls were always cooking up things to do, to fill up the hours when we were getting bored.  

Linda's heart was a great inspiration.  I am so very thankful for the friendship she and Brooks shared with us when we outsiders were in town.  I will always remember that acceptance and love.  Pamela Armstrong

I was blessed to work for Brooks at Mid-South Color Labs for 17 years. During that time I was so blessed to know Linda. She was so much fun. I remember once,as she did so many times, she was bringing in a big Christmas lunch for us. She had run around all morning ,preparing & picking up food & all the trimmings. She parked by the front door & was unloading everything & of course,visiting &checking on all us. Well,she went out to get another load.......and a dog had come & grabbed a ham! At first,she was destressed,but in  the Linda form,soon was laughing & went to tell Brooks! He just laughed & She ran & got another ham! We all adored her. She had  a hugh fun happy loving heart. Praying for Brooks and all her sweet family.

I have known Linda since she and I and my brother John Gurley were students along with her sister Jeanie who was in my class at Lambuth College in the 1960s. Our children grew up together. Linda has always been a beautiful and caring friend to every one who knew her. She went out of her way to help the lonely and needy people around her. She was a special friend to two of my husband John’s sisters who loved to go dancing with her and Brooks. She and Brooks provided beautiful portraits of my sweet John when  he died. She brought us a delicious homemade casserole!  What a caring and nurturing person she was!  We weep now for this lovely friend who went beyond the expected to be what Jesus would want us to do.  I am crying now with the family. 

Linda and I were childhood friends before high school and college. I remember playing together as little girls at her house  on Lambuth. She had a contagious laugh and a very big heart. We had a lot of fun as kids. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. Her winning smile and devotion to her entire family will live on. I am saddened by her death but so grateful that I knew her and we had the friendship we did. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. All who knew her loved her and I will always remember the two of us as little girls playing at the McGee home on Lambuth.  We carried that friendship throughout our lives. I loved her dearly.

I am one lucky brother to have two dear sisters, Jeanie and Linda.  My heart is broken over the sudden loss of sweet Linda.  She will live forever in my heart and missed everyday of my remaining life.  These sweet sisters have endured a brother that was probably classified as a pest by some but my love for then has never wavered.  Long live the memory of Linda.  She was a special angel in my life.  Love you.

Linda and I graduated in the same class at Jackson High School.  It's so very sad to lose another classmate.  My sympathies go out to Brooks and Linda's family.

Linda and I shared a friendship of many years.

Linda was a classmate at Jackson High School as it was then called. We both had February birthdays and each year discussed how fortunate we were to be alive and active.

I have many fond memories of Linda including a girls' trip to the Wisconsin waterfront home of Terry Holmes Botts. (Terry attended Jackson High School.) Pam Armstrong of MD, formerly of Jackson, joined us. Other memories include a party hosted for one of our class reunions at her lovely Jackson home; and how very kind she was to an elderly longtime friend of mine, the late Miss Jessie Lee Johnson when Miss Johnson was ill.

May  Linda rest in peace. I am praying for her family.

We will always remember Linda as a truly beautiful person inside and out with her thoughtful and caring ways.  Whether it be catering a holiday meal for the entire lab, or just remembering each of us on our birthdays, she always went out of her way to brighten everyone's day.   Her witty humor, laughter and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by each of us.  We are so incredibly thankful for all the wonderful years we were blessed to have her in our Mid-South family.
