Laura Johns

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Johns, age 89, will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 at 2 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Rev. Roger Ellsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Johns passed away at her home on Monday, February 28th, 2011.

Laura was born on July 22, 1921 to the late W.A and Annie McFarland Replogle. She was married to the late John Wesley Johns on September 17th, 1938. Mrs. Johns was a 40 year employee of Kisber's Department Store, and a long time member of Parkview Baptist Church.

She is survived by a niece, Connie McCanless; Connies two children, Debbie Solesky and David McCanless, and a nephew, Jerry Replogle. She leaves two very special, and dedicated caregivers, Dorothy Glenn and Evelyn Bowers. She also leaves special friends, the Don Carloss family, the Scott family, and Larry and Linda Murley.

Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clint Replogle and Curtis Replogle, and a nephew, Bert Replogle.

Pallbearers to serve will be Don Carloss, Burt Carloss, Matthew Carloss, Larry Murley, Danny Scott and Randy Scott.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
