Kenneth Wayne Sims

Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Sims, 61, will be held 3 pm on Friday, June 3, at George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel in Jackson, Tennessee, with Bro. Joe McIntyre officiating. Kenneth died Monday, May 30, in Jackson, Tennessee.

He was born on October 8, 1954, in Port Sulpher, Louisiana, and grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he was a member of Lyon Baptist Church. He was the son of John and Earlene Davis Sims. Kenny was a member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee. He is survived by wife of 38 years, Barbara McArthur Sims, son, Jon Dolan Sims (Kristy), daughter, Cayce Sims McManis (Tim), brothers, Randy (Janet) and Calvin Sims along with, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sims was preceded in death by father John Sims.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends and family Friday, June 3, from 1 -3 pm at George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel in Jackson, Tennessee.
