Julie Lynn Williamson

She was the daughter of Junell Ruth Bearden of Jackson and Robert E. Blackburn of Memphis and was born at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN on October 3, 1969. In 1980 she moved to Blytheville, Arkansas, with her family. She attended Mississippi County Community College in Blytheville, Arkansas, and after she and her mother moved to Jackson, TN, she attended Jackson State Community College where she received her degree in Radiologic Technology. She was employed by JMCGH in the Radiology Department and during this time she also attended Union University and received her Registered Nurse degree. She worked as a nurse in the Radiology Department and then moved to the Pediatric Floor where she could take care of the babies and small children.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Williamson, her three sons; twins Leland Thomas Williamson and Tyler Dean Williamson, and Jesse Alton Williamson. She is also survived by her mother and father and her grandmother, Irene Hearn Ruth; sister, Chalet Ruth Parks (Carl) of Somerville, TN, sister-in-law, Elaine Sullivan, father-in-law, Alton Williamson, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, John F. Bearden, grandfather, Leland G. Ruth and her mother-in-law, Judy Williamson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel, with Dr. Joe Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the South Chapel from 5 pm until 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Center of Independent Living, Providence Cemetery Fund, or Lester’s Chapel.
