Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Glisson will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 3 pm at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with Bishop Richard Felts and Bishop J. P. Stovall officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Mr. Glisson was born to Howard and Wavie Glisson and raised in Madison County. He worked for 30 years for the Jackson Fire Department and was a member of the Victory Worship Center.
Other than his parents, he was predeceased in death by two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole (Kokomo) Smith; four sons, Dickey (Michele) Glisson, Jay Glisson, Tony (Cherly) Steward, and Brandon (Tammy) Glisson; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy Hogan.
A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5-8 pm and continue on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 2-3 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
