Jeff was born on November 19, 1968 in Griffin , GA. He was a welder by trade and a member of Christ's Baptist Church, Houma, LA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie Rybon and Virginia LaRue Dorris of Jackson, TN. and Wayne Smith and Stella McCaig of Waverly, TN.
Survivors include his parents, Iran and Sherry Smith, Jackson, TN; one son Tim Smith (Anjelle) of Houma, LA.; one brother Jason Smith of New Orleans, LA.; nieces Mistie Cazelot of Napoleonville, LA and Julia Smith of Covington, LA; and great nephews Jase and Myles Cazelot.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 12-2 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Brother Mark Cagle of Malesus Baptist Church will officiate the service.
Pallbearers to serve will be Christopher Baker, Heath McCrary, Ben Lovelace, Gary Dorris, Bruce Dorris, and Matt Chamberlian.
