Jane C. Norvell

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Bemis. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Jane was born on September 2, 1948 to the late Bill and Mary Lee Canada of Dyer, Tennessee. She married John A. Norvell on September 4, 1977. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Bemis, serving alongside her husband in ministry. She was a member of the Tennessee Women's Chorus and led music for the Explorer's Bible Study in Jackson. She sang with her family group, The Norvell's. She was a crafty person, always working in crochet and cross-stitch. She enjoyed painting and loved doing genealogy and researching her family tree.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and all around christian lady who will be deeply missed in this community.

She is survived by her husband, Bro. John A. Norvell of Jackson; son, Joseph Norvell (Yvette); daughter, Bethany Fewell (Bryan); two grandchildren; two sisters, Neva Hall of Claremore, OK and Ruth Ann Ramsey of Alamo, TN; and a brother, Mike Canada of Hawsville, KY.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to Gideon's International or First Baptist Church Bemis Buidling Fund.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church Bemis.
