It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jana Elizabeth Pate-Todd, who left us too soon on September 26, 2024 Jana was born on January 23, 1991 and was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her.
A devoted member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, Jana's faith was the foundation of her life. She lived her beliefs with unwavering commitment, embodying the principles of love, compassion, and service to others. Jana was the first to encourage, motivate, and love unconditionally, always uplifting those around her with her kind words and infectious laughter.
Jana was not only an artist but also a loving niece, daughter, and friend. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new horizons, whether through travel, music, or simply enjoying nature's wonders. Her artistic talents allowed her to capture the beauty of the world around her, and her works will forever be cherished as a testament to her incredible perspective.
Jana will be deeply missed by her sister, Shelby Todd and all her family and friends who were blessed to know her. Each of us carries a piece of Jana in our hearts, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on through the memories we share.
Jana is survived by her sister, Shelby Lynn Todd; her father, Kenny Todd and Betty Todd her paternal grandmother. She is also survived by her aunts, Cheryl Todd, Kathy Todd Vick (Jerry), Patty Todd Mayhall (Sammie), Glenda Carter, and Joyce Meadows (Bobby); first cousins, Deborah Gulledge, Whitney Gulledge, Laura Gulledge, Beth Murley (Roger), Kacy Cioccia (Trey) and Kevin Meadows (Brittany).
Jana was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Pate; her paternal grandfather, Eugene Todd; her aunt; Carolyn Pate, her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth W. Pate, and her maternal grandfather, Roy T. Pate
A graveside memorial service to celebrate Jana’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1:30 pm Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones beginning at 11 am until 1 pm at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel.
