Glynn Ray Martin

He was born on February 26, 1945 in Gibson County, TN, the son of the late Nicodemus and Hazel Arnold Martin. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Sara Harris in 1967. Mr. Martin worked for People’s Protective Life Insurance Company and then went to work for Porter Cable for 45 years until his retirement. He later worked for Lowe’s. He and his wife are members of North Jackson Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Preston and Fairy Harris; his sister-in-law, Juanita Tucker Brock; his nephew, Steven Tucker and his wife, Sharon; and another nephew, Jason Shelton.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Harris Martin; a daughter, Patricia Martin; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Bro. Bryant Newell of North Jackson Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens
