George L. Morrison III

He was born on March 19, 1955 in Humboldt, TN to George and Ruth Watson Morrison. Mr. Morrison, a local attorney, is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Memphis State University Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He was a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, a past Hearing Committee Member for the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee, and served on the Madison County Sheriff's Office Civil Service Commission. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Keith (Jack) Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Morrison; three daughters; Margaret Morrison, Meredith Morrison Walker and husband Taylor Walker, and Melissa Morrison; two grandchildren, Jack Taylor Walker and Morrison Ann Walker; and nephew, Dr. Ned White. Mr. Morrison was a Communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in Ridgecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be directed to Youth Town, Hospice of West Tennessee, or any other charitable organization.
