Evie Elizabeth Baxter-Riggs

Evie was born on August 14, 1938 in Medon, TN to the late J.C. Baxter and Ruby Pirtle Baxter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Alan Riggs; and her husband, Max Earl Riggs, Sr.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Riggs (Linda) of McKinney, TX, Earl Riggs (Sheila) of Smyrna, TN, and Melvin Riggs (Marta Arnold) of Greenfield, TN; five grandchildren, Brandy Riggs Minchey (Tony), Dustin Riggs (Leslie), Richard Riggs, Nicholas Riggs, and Brandon Wilson; and five great grandchildren, Kadence Riggs, Braxton Minchey, Alyssan Riggs, Dalton Riggs, and Skyler Faith Riggs.

Funeral services for Evie will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with burial following in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
