Elizabeth A. McCauley

Funeral services for Mrs. McCauley will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 3 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve will be Steve and John Shoemaker, Mark Hopper, and Ryan, Michael and Kevin Crouch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" McCauley; parents, Hobart and Mary Ruth Hundley Sipes; sister, Helen Haney; brothers, James Sipes and Robert "Buster" Sipes.

She is survived by daughter, Diane Crouch (James) and son, David Woods; grandsons, Michael (Ashley) Crouch, Ryan (Beth) Crouch, Kevin (Jennifer) Crouch; granddaughters, Morgan and Katie Woods; great- granddaughters, Amber and Amanda Crouch; brother, George Hobart Sipes, Jr. (Dorothy); sisters, Louise Hopper, Faye Johnson (Nathan) and Ileen Shoemaker (Jerry); sisters-in-law, Laverne Sipes and Phyllis Sipes; a very special friend, Marsha Floyd; and many other loving family members.

Elizabeth was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and always a tireless and loving caregiver to her family, and to the many people she nursed over the years.

Special thanks to her beloved caregivers and friends, Linda Spencer, Barbara Baker, Joyce Mitchell, Sue Box, and Diane Rickman.

The family will receive friends in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., and again after 8 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of the service.
