Edith Marie Collins

Services for Mrs. Edith Marie Collins, age 62, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 27th, at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Collins had been in declining health for several months, and died Sunday morning at Jackson General Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Murry and Evie Marie Sanders Boone.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Collins of Jackson; children and spouses, Lisa Humphrey (Jerry) of Trenton, Marc Taylor (Mary) of Medon and Jessica Collins of Jackson; her grandchildren, Andrew Davis of Jackson, Amanda Geater of Trenton, Mason Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Anna Beth Taylor, all of Medon; her sisters, Annie Rogers (Don) of Norcross, GA and Lillie Holt (Mitch) of Martinez, GA; her brothers, James Boone (Anne) of Jackson and Murry "Butch" Boone of Scotts Hill, as well as a long list of those who loved her dearly.

Pallbearers to serve are James Boone, Butch Boone, Don Rogers, Mitch Holt, Jerry Humphrey, Andrew Davis, Mason Taylor and Robert Burns.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association .
