Earl D. Twomey Jr.

Earl D. Twomey, Jr., age 87, of Tyler, TX will be buried with Military Honors at Hollywood Cemetery, Jackson, TN, on June 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. He passed away after an extended illness on November 28, 2012 while residing at Reunion Plaza Senior Care Center in Tyler, TX.

Mr. Twomey attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN where he received a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was retired from General Dynamics, Fort Worth, TX, and was self employed. As a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army 37th Division, Company G 129th Infantry, he received multiple decorations and citations including the Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement.

Mr. Twomey is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Beaty of Newark, OH; nieces, Cindy Penovich of Naperville, IL, Leigh Duncan Finn of Charlotte, NC, Becky Wagner of Granville, OH; nephew, Scott Duncan of Morganton, NC; and a brother in law, James Duncan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl D. Twomey, Sr., and his mother, Blanche Wyatt Twomey; sister, Rosemary Duncan and a brother, Alan Twomey.
