Dyan was born in Port Jefferson, New York on May 27, 1978, to her late mother Lynn Marie Heidtman (Weiner) and father Richard Thomas Pryor. Following high school, Dyan studied textile design at FIT in New York City. She pursued a successful 28-year long career in Retail Management where she has left a lasting positive impact on her coworkers, customers, and the communities that she served.
Dyan brought strength, joy, and hope to all she encountered. She adored her husband and children and was a champion for their success. She was a dedicated mother, the matriarch to her siblings and brought the family together in celebration.
Dyan was a gifted artist in every medium, but painting was her favorite. When she wasn’t working on a creative project you could find her in her garden or at the beach. She was an avid reader like her mother, the Harry Potter series was her favorite, along with a good medium filet mignon steak and the movie My Girl. She loved to shop and always thought of others, especially when she came across a good deal. Most of all, Dyan enjoyed traveling and exploring new places with her family.
Dyan is survived by her beloved husband Reuven Dar, her three loving children Evan, Aeriell, Nathaniel, two stepchildren Kimberly and Ethan, her ten siblings Gillian Verdu, Scott Ward, Shane Ward, Josh Heidtman, Mari Pryor, Kubysa Edwards, Catherine Ragon, Bridget Camilleri, Stephenie Trayer, Lynn Heidtman, her stepmother Jeanne Pryor, stepfather Stephen Heidtman, and her twenty adoring nephews and nieces.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday October 11, 4-7pm, at George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located at 2812 North Highland Avenue, Jackson, TN 38305.
