Becky Curlin McKown

For the majority of her teaching career, Becky was an English teacher at North Side High School, where she inspired countless students with her passion for literature and her commitment to education. Her influence extended beyond the classroom, touching the lives of many in the community.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Blair McKown of Denver, CO; four nephews, Christopher Curlin Tanner (Allison) and their daughter, Sarah of Franklin, Andrew Scott Tanner of Mount Juliet, Christopher McKown (Michelle) of Los Angeles, and Andrew Boles (Kate) of Austin, TX; and one niece, Lauren McKown of Denver. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Becky McKown will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Woodland Cemetery in Haywood County. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons from 11 am - 1 pm prior to the service.
