Funeral services for Ab Taylor III, 78, will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Love and Truth Church, 565 Oil Well Road, Jackson, TN, with Pastor Eddie Cupples and Pastor Emmanuel Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery, 200 Ridgecrest Road, Jackson, TN.
Ab Taylor III, died on Saturday , June 18, 2016 at home with his family.
The son of Ab & Gladys Taylor, Ab Taylor III was born on July 1, 1937 in Jackson, TN. Ab served as President of City Lumber Company and was a member of Love and Truth Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Magee Taylor; his three children: daughter Courtney Taylor Ball and her husband, Dr. Jeff Ball, son Ab Taylor IV and wife Jamie, and son Mark Taylor; his nine grandchildren: Sydney, Taylor, Courtney, & John Caleb Ball; Ab V, Winn, and Luke Taylor; and Will and Anna Taylor; brother- in-law, Milton Magee of Dyersburg, TN; nephews Phillip Houser of Austin, TX, Johnny Smith of NC, and Milton Magee of Memphis, TN; and nieces Mrs. Fran Drummond of Nashville, TN, Mrs. Jeanne Regenold of Piperton, TN, Mrs. Ceil Williams of Germantown, TN, and Mrs. Maribeth Martin of Cunningham, TN.
Ab was preceded in death by his sisters Jean Taylor Houser and Helen Taylor Smith.
Pallbearers to serve are Taylor Ball, John Caleb Ball, Ab Taylor V, Winn Taylor, Luke Taylor, David Fisher, Montie Matlock, and John Dodd. Honorary pallbearers include: The Coffee Club, Jonas Kisber, Sam Lewis, Jimmy Mays, Terry Mays, Robert Mainord, Dr. Don Lewis, Dr. Jim Youmans, Tom Rainey, Ken Brasfield, Nathan Young, and Harbert Alexander.
