On June 28,1948, Larry was born to Leon and Florence Burrage. He spent most of his early childhood in Noxapater and later childhood in Jackson, MS. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he met his beloved wife Linda. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Their devotion to one another was even more evident in the last few yeas as Linda took amazing care of her love, Larry.
He received the greatest honor of being a devoted father and grandfather by his loving family. As a father, he enjoyed attending USM football games, taking his family water skiing and coaching his son's teams in soccer and baseball. He was a proud supporter of Clinton sports and fundraising. He was a member and served as usher at First Baptist Church in Clinton. As a grandfather, he loved taking his family on trips in his RV. He most enjoyed his family trips to Disney, the Smoky Mountains, and his annual trips to the Natchez Balloon Festival and Cruisin' the Coast.
Larry was a very dedicated sales representative who loved his work family at Jackson Paper Company and the deep relationships he built with his clients over the years.
Those left to cherish memories of Larry are his wife, Linda Burrage; daughter: Dr. Michelle Crews (Derrick), son: Matthew Burrage (Ashton); grandchildren: Win Crews, Chambers Crews, Annelaine Crews, Presleigh Burrage, and Connor Burrage, sister: Linda Griffith (Charles), brother-in-law: Mark Craig (Corey), and nieces/ nephews: Brad Griffith (Angela), Brittney Aultman (Todd), Brooke May (Brian), and numerous great-nieces/nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leon and Florence Burrage and his son: Will Burrage.
Larry will be dearly missed by family and friends. He showed unconditional love to his family and was always a person you could count on. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, patience, kindness, and gentleness.
A celebration of his life will be held between the hours of 1:00- 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 20 at the home of Michelle and Derrick Crews. At the request of his family all burial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude.
