Terry Scott, 56, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Terry was born on April 9, 1962 in Natchez, MS. He professed his faith at 10 years old and was baptized at Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Meridian. He worked as a draftsman in the construction industry and later acquired Southern Roofing. Terry had a passion for animals and loved his cats, Lulu and Jo. He had a big smile and an even bigger heart. He was a very generous, hardworking family man. He enjoyed kayaking, fishing, spending time in the outdoors and listening to bluegrass and gospel music.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Alma Scott; maternal grandfather, Clell Sosebee; maternal grandmother, Sallie Ballard and her husband, H.D. Ballard.
Terry is survived by his parents, Homer and Anne Scott; sisters, Cindy Curan (Terry) and Cheryl Scott; nephew, Scott Gambill; niece, Leah Gregory (Roger) and her children, Lex, Lachlyn and Libby Gregory. He is also survived by his longtime best friends, Willie and Walter Crook.
