Mrs. Mary J Van Etten

After a brief illness, Mrs. Janie Van Etten of Byram, Mississippi passed away peacefully on July 5, 2020 at 9:25 pm after being surrounded by family and friends and sharing her hugs and kisses with everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Henry Van Etten.

She is survived by her son John David Van Etten of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, daughter Angie McCrillis of Honolulu, Hawaii and sister Betty Jo Bradford of Byram, Mississippi.

Her heart belonged to her babies, her grandchildren and great/grandchildren. Grand daughter Heather Van Etten; Grand sons, Ashley McCrillis, Chris Van Etten, Phillip McCrillis, Patrick Van Etten, Joel McCrillis. Great grand-children, Rebecca Junkin, Reed McCrillis, John Ross Blackwell, Brantley and Micha Van Etten, and her brand new babies Ainsleigh, Makaleigh, and Landon McCrillis.

She loved her family and anything they were involved with from baseball, to watching NASCAR with her boys, to going fishing. Back in the day when she was able, she enjoyed gardening and doing her own mowing. Alzheimer’s stole a lot from her but in the end, in her mind, she still did all the things she enjoyed, and saw the people she wanted to see. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
