Mary Elizabeth McWilliams

Mary Elizabeth McWilliams, age 83, of Jackson, Mississippi passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Mary was born in Jackson, MS on June 13, 1939. She was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Jackson. For the better part of her working life, she worked in retail sales at McRae’s Department Store. In her retirement years, Mary loved to cook and watch soap operas, especially “Days of Our Lives”. She loved taking care of her family and in her loving nature, she would open her home and heart to anyone in need.

She is preceded in her passing by her husband, Jerry McWilliams, Sr.; her son, Jerry McWilliams, Jr.; and her brother, Jim Tucker.

Mary is survived by her son, Glenn Perry McWilliams; her grandsons- Cain McWilliams (Angela) and Jeremy McWilliams (Bethany); 12 loving great-grandchildren; her brothers- Lloyd Tucker and Richard Tucker; her sister, Lois Ann Wilson; and nieces- Jacqueline Blackwell and Mary Booth.
