Mary Joyce Dickson

Mary Joyce Dickson, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Dickson was born on November 14, 1939 in Simpson County, MS. She loved to entertain at her home and was known for her kindness and hospitality. She was a devoted mother and wife who supported her husband, Tommy, through his service in the US Air Force and his career with the Jackson Fire Department.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy L Dickson; son, Mark Demone Dickson; and parents, J.C. and Lillian McLendon Roberts.

Mrs. Dickson is survived by her sister, Bobbie Jo Hester; brother, Ricky Roberts (Karen); brother-in-law, Sonny Dickson (Linda); nephews, Bill Hester (Dawn), Kevin Hester, Eric Roberts, Ricky Dickson; niece, Sandra Dickson; great-nephew, Trey Hester; great-nieces, Chande Hester Caballero, MaKenzie and MaKaylee Hester.
