Kay was born May 20, 1943 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Lillian and Marvin Watkins. Kay graduated from Provine High School in 1961 and Mississippi State College for Women in 1965.
She then taught elementary school in Vicksburg and Long Beach, Mississippi for many years.
Kay was a member of First Baptist Church Clinton and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Watkins. Survivors include sister-in-law, Mary Noailles Watkins Wilkinson, niece Lisa Watkins and children Kimberly, Robert and Elizabeth, nephew Bryant Watkins, wife Sonja and children Darren, David and Dana, niece Melissa Stewart, husband Chris and children Kate and Ben, nephew Will Watkins, wife Lindsey and daughter Avie.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Clinton.
A graveside service for Kay will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park.
