Maideen “Dean” Pentecost, 91 years young, was born in Jackson, MS and was a long time resident on the Reservoir. She was presently residing at Plain View Assisted Living, Richland, MS. She was preceded in death by her late husband; Mr. John P. Pentecost, her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brasfield, her sisters; Mrs. Alma Maddox and Mrs. Barbara Pace and a brother; Mr. Horace Brasfield. She is survived by her two sons; Mr. Donald A. Johnson of Houston, TX and Mr. Richard L. Johnson (Jena) of Ocean Springs, MS. Also her grandchildren; Ms. Jessica Stowe of Dallas, TX, Mr. Daniel Johnson (Amber) of Jackson, MS, Mr. Spencer Johnson (Emily) of Leland, MS and Mr. Alexander Johnson of Nashville, TN. Four great grandchildren: Presley Reese and Grayson Elijah Stowe, Vesper Evensong and Wiley Wolfe Johnson. Mrs. Pentecost was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS and was in their Senior Adult Choir for many years. She was also a member of the Welcome Neighbor Club, Bible Study Group and many other groups. She was a retired secretary of the Hinds-Madison Baptist Association of Jackson, MS.The family wants to extend its sincere appreciation to Ms. Robyn Waters of Ridgeland, MS who allowed her to reside in her home for several years; her niece, Ms. Cindi Alexander of Brandon, MS and to the staff of Plain View Assisted Living for all of their loving care and support provided to our beloved Mother and Grandmother.A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 3-5 pm and Monday, November 2, 2015 from 10-11 am at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 am at Lakewood Funeral Home.
