Louise Stephens, age 92, of Jackson, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. A visitation for Louise will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
Louise was born January 1, 1931. She spent the better part of her working life as a secretary for Dr. Pharr in Jackson, MS. Louise loved traveling, especially with her family, and would take her grandkids on regular excursions to Dollywood in Tennessee. When she wasn’t adventuring, she enjoyed planting flowers, along with other upkeep in her yard, and spending time with her sweet Chihuahua, Amigo.
She is preceded in her passing by her husband, James Stephens; her parents; and her daughter, Deborah McCollum.
Louise is survived by her grandchildren- Courtney Rhyne (Stephen), Lauren Fairburn (Matt), and Jamie McCollum (Jessica); 7 great-grandchildren; and her 4 legged companion, Amigo.
