Lila Jo Cook

Lila Jo Hamilton Cook, 67, passed away Sunday May 26, 2013, after her 3 ½ year battle with cancer at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson. Services will be 11am Friday, May 31, 2013 at the funeral home, preceded by visitation at 10 am. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cook was a retired VP at BancorpSouth, and spent most of her life in banking. She was a longtime resident of Brandon, MS. She graduated from Provine High School. Lila was a well-respected business woman and a pillar of the community. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of over 48 years Richard Cook of Brandon; her children; son Brad Cook, daughter Ann Cook McLeod; grandchild Jordan Cook; sisters Gloria Price and Sue Lee; brothers Eddie Hamilton and Steve Beard; niece Kim Macy, and many other wonderful family members.
