June C. Conerly

Elsie June Cothern Conerly of Clinton, Mississippi passed peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the age of 90 years. June is survived by her daughter, Karen Prevost (Tim), grandchildren Dan Prevost, Melissa Prevost Keen, Will Prevost and Emmie Meek.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clyde Cothern and Lena Irene Roseberry Cothern, her husband, Wayne Conerly and her daughter Ann Conerly Meek (Tom).

She committed her life to Jesus at age 11 and was a faithful member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton where she was active in Sunday School, the Senior Adult Choir and Senior Adult Ministry.

June was a devoted wife, committed homemaker, dedicated mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she liked to travel, enjoyed sewing, loved decorating her home for each season and spent hours working with her many plants and flowers.

A visitation for June will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
