Joel was a friend, a legal colleague, a neighbor, and his loss is saddening.  

We offer our prayers and condolences to Christal    and to all within his family and friends! Pamela and Fred Banks Jr.

Mr. Howell was a great friend and long time customer. He will be missed by all of the crew at Tonys Tire and Auto.

I knew Joey’s dad much better than I did Joey and I know Joel, Jr. was very proud of him! Both of them were good men!

It was such a joy to work with Joel over the past several years, as we have been revitalizing and reinvigorating the Millsaps Theatre program and Players. Joel was a passionate and caring soul, who treasured the Arts and those things of beauty that enrich our lives. The world is a better place, because of Joel. We will miss him greatly.

Joey was my debate team partner in high school at Murrah and Callaway, and in college at Millsaps.  I don’t recall that he and I, when teamed up, ever lost a single round.  A formidable mind, laser focus, and indomitable will were his greatest strengths.  Rest in peace partner.

A brilliant flame is gone and will be miss deeply. His clever wit and awesome intelligence meant you could never win an argument, but laughed nonetheless.

Joel was a fine man , and will be missed!
