Mr. Larry Brown, 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday, May 18 from 5 pm - 8 pm and Tuesday, May 19 from 10 am -11 am. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Brown was born in Vicksburg, MS on November 26, 1939 to the late Harper and Johnnie Cagle Brown. He served in the Air National Guard. During his career, he was employed for several companies including Entergy (28 years), WorldCom, Skytel, and Cracker Barrel. Mr. Brown was a member of the Exchange Club and Jaycees. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and MS State football. Mr. Brown loved singing and was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church Choir and a quartet.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Hosa and Elizabeth Brown; son, Mike Brown; and brother-in-law, James Sasser.

Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife, Bettye Sasser Brown; daughter, Karyn Brown; sister, Sheryl Scharf (Don); sisters-in-law, Margie Sasser and Ann Nethero (John); uncle, Marvin Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
