Jerry Byron Moore

Funeral services for Jerry Byron Moore, 82 of Natchez, Mississippi, will be held on July 22, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM., and the service will follow at 2:00 PM., with Dr. Doug Broome officiating.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Beal Madison Moore, his mother, Kimbrell Moore, his two brothers, Elton and Roger Moore, his son, Jerry Randall Moore, and his wife, Irma D. Moore.

After graduating from high school, Jerry would later become employed with Mississippi Valley Gas Company / ATMOS Energy, and soon after, marry his wife of 49 years, Irma McWilliams Moore. Jerry was employed with MVG / ATMOS Energy for 47 years, and he held several positions throughout his tenure with the company. He became the Natchez District Manager in 1986, and this is where he would retire in 2005. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchez, Mississippi, where he served as a member and a Deacon for many years. Mr. Moore was also a member of the Rotary Club, where served as Ambassador for several years. He was also a member of the Mississippi Valley Gas Retiree Partnership, the 50+Club, the Natchez Chamber of Commerce, and he served as a board member for the Southwest Mississippi Electric Power Association.

Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter, Angela Moore Bowling (James), his grandchildren, Taylor Bowling Leach of Amory, Mississippi, James Tyler Bowling of Orlando Florida, and his great-grandson, James Cooper Leach of Amory Mississippi.
