Visitation is Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, July 13, 2023, 1-2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209. Funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Jennifer was a life-long resident of Clinton. She and her husband Tim, would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on July 21, 2023. She was a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. Jennifer retired from the Department of Public Safety, but continued as a valued contract employee. She grew up showing horses and was an Appaloosa Horse Club State champion several years. She also won the Dixie National Appaloosa Horse Show 3 years in a row, in her age division, in the Stump Race (Barrel Race).
Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, Everett T. and Olga Nell Jernigan of Clinton, MS.
She is survived by her devoted husband Tim, their twin sons, Matthew and Marcus, her sister Regina Bonner, brother-in-law Steve Bonner, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jennifer will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
