Jean Dalton Bennett, 89, died Friday, August 18, 2017, in Starkville, MS. Jean was born in Hartsville, TN. She moved to Jackson, MS in 1946 to attend Belhaven College. She also became a longtime member of First Baptist Church at this time. Jean was a caring spouse, a devoted mother, grandmother and thoughtful friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Bennett, and daughter, Jean Diane Bennett. She is survived by her daughter, Myra Bennett Reinschmiedt (Lynn) of Starkville, and grandsons, Andrew McNair Trotter (Kati), and Daniel Bennett Trotter (Rebecca) and great grandchildren, Oliver McNair Trotter and Anna Fairley Trotter. Jean was a blessing from the Lord who impacted all of our lives with her love and kindness. A memorial service will be held at the Lakewood Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorials may be made to Mission First or Buried Treasures Ministries of First Baptist Jackson, P.O.
