Mrs. Glenda Gould Adams

Mrs. Glenda Gould Adams, age 79, of Jackson passed away on October 18, 2014. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Florence, MS.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. A native of Scott County, Glenda Gould Adams was born on May 24, 1935. She was the daughter of James and Wilma Miley Gould. Mrs. Adams worked as a Banking Officer with Trustmark Bank. She was very active in her church serving as the State and Ward Relief Society President, the Young Women’s President and was the Organist at the church.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her sons, George “Mike” Adams (Tanja), Glenn “David” Adams and Gregory “Keith” Adams; her daughter, Karen Joyce Eyring (Nick); her brother, Harold “Robert” Gould (Carolyn); her sister, Amelia Gunner; her sister in law, Sandy Gould; seventeen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren with three more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, George Adams, her parents, one brother, Jerry Gould and one grandson, Wayne Adams. An online guest registry is available at www.lakewoodfuneralhomes.com.
