Floyd Marcel Britt

Mr. Floyd M. Britt, 91, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, from 10 am - 12 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, at 12 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Britt was born in New Orleans, LA on March 1, 1924 to the late Floyd Middleton Britt and Mary Ethel Smith Britt. He was a WWII veteran in the United States Navy. He enjoyed the Stock Market and teaching his children his love for gardening.

Mr. Britt is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Geraldine “Jerrie” Britt; sons, Dr. Carey L. Britt of San Antonio, TX, Randall M. Britt (Liz) of Texarkana, TX; daughter, Rhonda B. Meadows (Steve) of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Kristen Britt Hill, Michelle Britt, Will Meadows and Leland Meadows; great grandchildren, Alexis Hill, Devin Hill and Haley Yarbrough.
