Emma was born on March 13, 1934 in Grenada, MS. She worked as a forklift operator at Packard Electric Systems for the better part of her working life. Emma was an avid traveler with her late husband and life-long travel partner, Russell, and they spent their time riding their motorcycle and camping around the country. After her and her husband’s years of adventure together, Emma became more of a homebody and thoroughly enjoyed her peaceful retirement.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Claude Russell Horton; her parents, Luther and Susie Wells; and her daughter, Joni Barbee.
Emma is survived by her children, Judy Kershaw and Jim Selden, Jr. (Sydney); her grandchildren- Paula Hurtt (Eddie), Melissa Dawn Gibbons (Michael), Jeri Alissia Day, Jennifer Zeagler, and Joseph Selden (Lisa); 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
