Edna Goode Kirby died at her home on Sunday, July 20th. A mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Savior Catholic Church on Friday July 25, 2014 at 10:00 am. The family will be accepting visitors on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home, Jackson, MS. Edna was born in Jackson, MS to the late Howard H. Goode and Thelma Davis. She retired from Trustmark Bank as a Quality Control Manager. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kirby; grandson, Brian Kirby; brother, Ray Goode and sister, Betty Abernathy. The Kirby’s had four children, Debra (Bob) Pohlman, Germantown, TN; mike (Dorinda) Kirby, Terry, MS; Barbara (Jeff) Mazurek, Sacramento, CA and Rex (Wanda) Kirby, Madison, MS. Edna is also survived by her brother, Luke Goode and five sisters, Shirley Williams, Mary Purnell, Faye Phillips, Jolene Holiday, Joyce French; six in-laws, Alma Kirby Bates, Patsy Kirby East, Katie Kirby, Don Kirby, Phil Kirby, Ted Kirby; grandchildren, 11;great grandchildren, 12.
